Job Description
The Construction Trades Foreman Job Description clarifies standards expected of first line supervisors and how they should be doing their job.
The job description is endorsed by the Construction Owners Association of Alberta (COAA).
Designated Occupation
The position of Industrial Construction Crew Supervisor (ICCS) is now a designated occupation in Alberta. See Get Your ICCS Designation to learn more about this designation and what foremen need to do to obtain this certification.
Participation is this designated occupation is voluntary.
Assessment Tool
The Skills Development Tool for Construction Trades Foremen is available as part of the COAA best practices. Use it to identify skill gaps and to help foremen in their professional development.
