New Version of CSTS comes into effect November 1st

The updated program, CSTS-09, has expanded from 12 modules with 50 topics to 15 modules with 82 topics.  Major changes include the elevation of Field Level Hazard Assessment and Fall Protection into stand alone modules, and the addition of a Defensive Driving module.  All modules have been enhanced and brought to current best practice standards being in used in industry.  In addition, the delivery format has been changed to “internet deployed” so that learners may study from home or any web-connected computer available to them.  Quizzes must be taken in the presence of a registered Proctor, who can verify the learner’s identity from government-issued identification.

CSTS Version 3.2 completed between January 1st, 2004 and October 31, 2010 will continue to be recognized as an accepted version of CSTS.  Recertification in the new version of CSTS-09 is not required.

As an option to anyone having an ACSA CSTS v3.2 certificate issued between January 1st, 2004 and October 31, 2010 the ACSA is offering an upgrade program which includes the new and enhanced modules in the new CSTS-09 course at no charge.
