Construction Owners Association of Alberta
2006 Best Practices Conference

Building Opportunities for Generations

On May 16 and 17, 2006 the Construction Owners Association of Alberta hosted its 14th Annual Best Practices Conference at the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton.

This year's theme was Building Opportunities for Generations, and it was certainly a great chance for the more than 500 conference delegates to get together with old friends and make new contacts.

Best Practices represents a rare opportunity for the industrial construction community to meet and share ideas. This year's conference was the biggest ever for the COAA. Members of all the Best Practices committees in the COAA are eager to put into practice what they have heard from the construction community.

If you were able to attend, we've included the PowerPoint presentations from all the plenary sessions, workshops, and other activities throughout the conference on this website. If there's something you missed, or wish to share with your company, it's all here.

If you couldn't make it to this year's conference, there is still a wealth of information available on this website to help you and your company take on the economic opportunities that make Alberta such a great place to live and do business. Please take this opportunity to visit the rest of the site, too - and make your workplace safer and more productive.

Thank you to everyone who attended and all those who worked hard to make Best Practices XIV a success.

Plenary Sessions held at Best Practices XIV

Wednesday morning’s Best Practices plenary session featured presentations from the COAA’s five Best Practices committees. These committees do the bulk of COAA’s work, and Best Practices Chair John Brogly praised the dedicated effort of all the volunteers on these committees who made this conference and the COAA’s Best Practices program possible. We have included all the PowerPoint presentations from this session on our website for your convenience.
