Contracts Committee Mandate:

Work collaboratively with all industry stakeholders to develop an industry-standard EPC contract similar to the COAA Fixed Price contract developed in 1995.

Focus Areas:

Develop a standard EPC contract that can be used with little modification by owners:

• Balances risk and reward for contractors and owners
• Structured so that owners can easily add or remove contract requirements and contractors can quickly understand any differences from the standard contract

Incorporates and/or requires the use of other COAA Best Practices including safety (CSTS, BBS, FLRA etc.) and work force development (effective use of apprentices, supervisory qualifications)
