• Champion implementation of the Canadian Model - Alcohol & Drug Guidelines. 
• Ensure COAA safety Best Practices are "out in front" of both industry practices and legislation. 

Productivity Committee

World-class productivity in heavy industrial construction and industrial maintenance.

• Champion implementation of WorkFace Planning and Rework Reduction. 
• Develop a strategy for incorporating benckmarking into the Alberta construction culture, including producing the Alberta Benchmarking Report II.
• Identify "big prize" opportunities in productivity improvement. 

Workforce Development Committee

The right skills in the right place at the right time.

• Improve the supply and the effectiveness of the construction workforce, including championing apprenticeship programs and employment of apprentices.
• Develop strategies to influence potential workers, key employers and government decision makers in order to improve construction workforce supply.
• Inform the strategies and tactics of COAA and others by collecting, analyzing and disseminating construction workforce supply and demand information. 

Contracts Committee

Standardized, balanced documents and processes to improve clarity, consistency and efficiency.

• Develop standardized formats, structures, terminologies, definitions, processes and checklists to facilitate clear and productive communication between owners and contractors
• Publish standardized templates for contracts, appendices and related forms as balanced starting points for project-specific use.

Communication and Governance

Timely achievement of strategic objectives.

• Focus on effective implementation of high priority Best Practices - drive positive change in our industry.
• Lead the planning and funding needed to deliver our Mission.
