- Promote adoption of Workface Planning and Rework Reduction.
- Produce the Alberta Benchmarking Report.
- Develop a long-term strategy for benchmarking.
- Identify the next opportunities in productivity.
Workforce Development
The right skills in the right place at the right time.
- Collect, analyze and/or disseminate construction workforce supply and demand information.
- Develop strategies to influence key decision makers in order to increase the availability of construction workforce in Alberta.
- Identify and develop best practices that positively affect supply and effectiveness of the construction workforce.
- Influence and collaborate with others (including associations, governments and education institutions) to achieve COAA's goals.
Communication and Governance
Timely achievement of strategic objectives.
- Lead the planning, funding and delivery of the COAA mission.
- Ensure committees are aligned to strategic priorities.
- Consistent messaging on strategic issues and priorities.
- Increase industry use of COAA Best Practices
- Develop standardized construction contract templates that also facilitate the implementation of Best Practices.
- Host the annual Best Practices conference.
